Those seeking a location where the entrepreneur spirit is welcomed, nurtured and supported will find Steuben County and Northeast Indiana dynamic partners!  We are a community and region that has supported business creation and innovation long before fancy French words were used to encapsulate the process.  Local companies like Vestil, Klink Group, Autoform Tool & Manufacturing and Swager Communications all began as ideas of people willing to take a risk.

Community banks and informal investment capital fueled these and other new businesses in the region for generations.  Despite some changes in regulations and underwriting requirements, Steuben County remains a community determined to support innovators and risk takers.  The State of Indiana provides additional tools for this work.
