Solar Company Expanding in Steuben County

HAMILTON, Ind. (July 21, 2011) – Solar Usage Now announced it is expanding its operations in the town of Hamilton in Steuben County. The company will invest $620,000. in addition, will create 35 new jobs over a three-year period.       Solar Usage Now is a designer, assembler and distributor of solar thermal hot water and space heating systems. FREMONT, Ind. (May 10, 2011) - Metaldyne of Fremont was inducted into the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Environmental Stewardship Program Thursday. Metaldyne was inducted by IDEM Commissioner Thomas Easterly in a special ceremony attended by pictured employees. A manufacturer of automobile accessories, Metaldyne received the award for replacing light fixtures in the facility with T8 fluorescent fixtures, that will result in a reduction of 446,343 kilowatts used.…

Steffy Wood Products to add 38 jobs

ANGOLA, Ind. (July 20, 2010) - Angola and Steuben County economic development officials announced 38 new jobs for the community and a building expansion Monday night. Steffy Wood Products is expanding its operation by 20,000 square feet and will add up to 38 jobs. The council approved tax abatements for the company.
